Since leaving the RN he has worked for Babcock International and this included time in both New Zealand and Australia. Now ‘partially retired’ he is keen to work with the GSL to develop the ‘sea’ part of Lifton Sea Scouts and to improve/provide the facilities that the leaders require to deliver a comprehensive programme of Scouting.

Kay Dunn

Kay has been the Secretary to the Scout Group Executive Committee since 2020. Prior to this she was heavily involved with children and young adults through her teaching career. When Kay retired in 2015 she was Head of School. During her teaching career she became a Surrey Schools Sports Co-ordinator and was active in the planning and implementation of residential visits which included climbing, abseiling, canoeing and archery. For fifteen years she held the roles of Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator and Child Protection Liaison Officer. These roles enabled her to develop skills regarding the physical, emotional, social and health difficulties children may have and how best to help them overcome these.

Simon is the Treasurer of Scout Group having previously been a member if the Executive Committee. He is now semi-retired after working many years in IT mainly at insurance companies in the City of London.
