Explorer Scouts (14-18)

Explorer Scouts (14-18 years) are encouraged to lead themselves in deciding the programme and direction of the Unit, with support and guidance from leaders. There is wider scope for activities like sailing, camping, backwoods cooking, pioneering, snowboarding, mountaineering and expeditions.

Explorers can work towards Top Awards, complete Explorer Belt adventures, volunteer as a Young Leader and complete the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme as part of their scouting experience.

West Devon Explorers meet on Friday evenings, usually 7pm-9pm, at various locations around the District.
