Annual General Meeting 2025

Date: 13th May 2025 Author: Robert Weston

Our Annual General Meeting was held on Monday 12th May 2025. This year we had a glorious sunny evening and the AGM took place at the QE2 Recreation Ground in Lifton. The BBQ was delicious and we even ran out of food! A huge thank you to all who made the evening so successful, to all who supported the raffle and BBQ, we raised £200 for the Scout Group funds.

Following the recent resignation of our previous Chair of Trustees, Peter Morris, we called upon our Parish Councillor Chris Edmonds to act as Chair for the AGM. The report from the Group Scout Leader demonstrated that the group continues to deliver a great programme of Scouting activities for all ages from 4 year olds to 18 year olds. In January 2024 we launched a second Cub Pack, which has gone from strength to strength. Our group has maintained a membership of around 100 young people and 20 adult volunteers.

Parents at the meeting thanked all the leaders, helpers and trustees for all they contribute to the running of the Scout Group which ensures that so many young people enjoy such a wide range of experiences.

Presentations were made to two of our Scouts who have reached the highest award in the Scout section: Lily and Elise, both received their Gold Chief Scout’s Award.
