Family Quiz Night – Part of our 50th Anniversary Celebrations

Date: 20th Jan 2022 Author: Robert Weston

1st Lifton Scout Group started in 1972, initially just a Cub Pack catering for boys aged 8-10 years old. Now we are open to boys and girls and we have Beavers (6-8 years), Cubs (8-10.5), Scouts (10.5-14) and Young leaders (14-18). To celebrate our 50th Anniversary we have a Family Quiz Night on Saturday 12th February at the Lifton Community Centre from 6.30pm until 9.30pm.

There will be a raffle and refreshments organised by our two Scouts who are heading off to South Korea to participate in the 2023 International Jamboree, which is a huge camping event involving thousands of Scouts from around the globe. All the proceeds raised by the fun event will go towards enabling the Scouts (Ellie and Elsie) to get to the Jamboree.

Teams of up to six people are invited to the event which is open to everyone in our community, there is a maximum number of people that we can get in the community centre so please book in advance to ensure your space. Hopefully the work on resurfacing the community centre car park will be completed before this event! We look forward to seeing you at our Family Quiz Night.

Put your phone down and what are you left with? Just teamwork, courage and the skills to succeed.’
